NEET-UG Exam Exam pattern for session 2025
The NEET 2025 exam paper pattern will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) very soon. Other than the exam pattern, notification and the information bulletin will also be released. It is expected that the syllabus will remain the same. No major changes will be made compared to last year. The tentative exam pattern for 2025 will be launched around the first week of February, and the NEET exam 2025 will be conducted around the first week of May 2025.
The test will be taken in the offline mode through paper-pencil form, the total time given is 200 minutes or three hours and 20 minutes.
There are a total of 200 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs), based on the main three subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Further, the Biology section is divided into Zoology and Botany.
Each question will have four options, and the candidates will have to choose one. Once determined, candidates can move on to circling the correct option and shading it with a blue/black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet.

Clarifying the NEET exam paper pattern, NTA has stated the following instructions for NEET UG exam pattern 2025
- Section A: Comprises 35 questions in each subject (Question Numbers – 001 to 035, 051 to 085, 101 to 135, and 151 to 185). All questions are mandatory.
- Section B: Comprises 15 questions in each subject (Question Nos – 036 to 050, 086 to 100, 136 to 150, and 186 to 200). In Section B, Students must attempt any 10 questions out of 15 in each subject.
- Students are advised to read all 15 questions in Section B of all the subjects carefully before attempting.
- In the case of a student attempting more questions than 10, the first 10 answered questions will be evaluated.
